The Hatch is an innovative co-working space and community of aspiring MSU entrepreneurs. Anyone with an idea can apply to be a part of The Hatch and all are accepted. Once you are a part of the Hatch, you will gain access to various resources (access to interns and funding) as you pass their milestones.

Participate in Pitch Competitions
Pitch for 5 minutes to a panel of judges to win up to $3,000 for your idea. Must be a member of Women in Entrepreneurship to participate. Applications open in October of 2017 and event is in November.
Candidates have the chance of winning $5,000+ in prizes at the GreenLight Hub locations and the top winner at each of the Hub location will receive an automatic seat to present at the GreenLight Michigan event in East Lansing in March, where $50,000+ in prizes will be awarded with the top prize of $25,000, sponsored by MSU Federal Credit Union.
The annual Running Start Competition is designed to help College of Music students bring creative ideas to life and take charge of their careers. Design a project or a business in music that features creative content, uses a unique model or approach, reaches a new audience, or does something better/cheaper/faster/greener in the world of music.
Join other student-led teams from across the State of Michigan to pitch your business venture idea, meet investors from around the country and win money to start your venture! There is a total of $20,000 in prizes! Annual event occurs in November.
The total purse for the event is $18,000 which is divided over the top three ventures across both the graduate and undergraduate level as well as two People’s Choice Awards. Applications due on February 17, 2017 and the event is on February 25.
